The Garden of Five Elements
Our 1,000sqm oasis with Alpine views
The Sonnhof's special spiritual energy extends into our Garden of Five Elements, which was designed in accordance with the ancient Vastu Shasta teachings. Enter it with sensitivity and respect and you will be rewarded by its concentrated energy:
- The Rose Garden – portal to the path of the heart:
Roses represent unconditional love, and the rose arch embodies sustenance in the resolution of pain and an expanding consciousness of love. - Ganesha and Buddha:
Before we can experience heaven in the energy garden, we must first pass by the statues of Buddha and Ganesha. - Shakti Fireplace:
A place of transformation dedicated to meditation and letting go. The flames that flicker in the copper bowl create a perfect framework for intense Yoga experiences. - Chakra spaces:
Seven Chakra spaces are arranged in ascending order around the fire bowl, from the Root Chakra to the Lotus Chakra. As we enter these spaces, we access the energy of the Chakras, allowing it to flow freely. - Places of bliss:
This place of spiritual energy brings together that which is intended to be joined. Find inner peace during mountain meditation sessions set against the stunning backdrop of the Wilder Kaiser's peaks. - Place of the Buddha and compassion:
A deeply tranquil space at the centre of the energy garden where sanctuary and the restoration of inner harmony await. - Garden of Native Herbs:
We grow and tend native herbs in this area of the garden, which has been planned and designed with loving care. These herbs are essential ingredients in our European Ayurvedic cuisine dishes. - Bird table
In Ayurvedic philosophy there is space for all of God's creatures. Observe our feathered friends, listen to their myriad songs, and allow your thoughts to roam while you savour the glorious Tyrolean setting. - Natural pond
This water feature provides a natural wildlife habitat: a source of life where guests find inner peace. - Retreats of quiet meditation
Generous rest and Yoga practice areas are dotted throughout the garden of five elements; they provide an invitation to relax and restore.
