European Ayurveda Farm Lindhof
Living with and learning from nature
The Ayurveda Resort Sonnhof has been the centre of European Ayurveda® for over 10 years, and the Lindhof farm represents the next step towards combining the Indian wisdom of Ayurveda with our Tyrolean homeland for a truly holistic concept. Providing our guests with a holistic approach to life and health and helping them to balance body, mind and soul is our passion. In order to incorporate this holistic idea in the implementation of our passion, we have integrated the Lindhof into our European Ayurveda® family. Idyllically situated with a view of the Thiersee and the Kaiser mountains, the farm provides us with superb regional products and is at the same time a place of retreat and rest.
Our environment and nature influence our being. Living in harmony with our environment is just as important as maintaining harmony between body, mind and soul. The environment in the Tyrolean Alps offers us so much variety and strength, and we aim to use the healing power of Tyrolean soil while never neglecting to treat nature with mindful attention. At the same time, we also want to convey to our guests all that nature has to offer and that mindfulness can be learned and lived.
The Lindhof is the heart of the European Ayurveda® family’s life and sustenance. It helps us to combine Indian wisdom with our Tyrolean traditions by providing our guests with precious nourishment. For this purpose, we have created a herb garden in which to grow the most important kitchen and medicinal herbs. In addition to the herb garden, the Lindhof also has a kitchen garden that provides us with old varieties of vegetables and fruits which have been cultivated in Tyrol since time immemorial and nourished our ancestors. Our herb and kitchen gardens allow us to guarantee the quality and origin of the food served at the Sonnhof. The combination of Tyrolean farming tradition and Indian Ayurveda became the cornerstone for a culinary brand that seamlessly blends with the original ideas behind the resort. Fresh, locally grown ingredients form a major component of Ayurvedic teachings, according to which the foods eaten during a course of treatment should be familiar and of the highest quality. And top quality is what we get from our own kitchen garden and orchard. With plenty of variety, and most important of all: full of wholesome goodness!
